Longevity Maintaining activity promotes better mental and physical health and contributes toward overall quality of life. Therefore, The Carolina Highlands offers a variety of opportunities for the social, educational, recreational, spiritual, emotional, and physical needs of homeowners. |
Personal Choice
Each individual experiences the aging process in a different way and has the right to choose the extent to which he or she is involved. Whether you enjoy lounging at the fireplace while having a cup of coffee with friends, listening to a college professor deliver an intellectual presentation, or participating in a computer class, we assure you that there will always be plenty from which to choose to continue your rich and fulfilling life.
Resident Committees
In addition to the Homeowners' Association, residents have established a variety of committees which impact daily life at The Carolina Highlands. Committees include Welcoming, Movies, Infirmary, Food Services, Building & Grounds, Grievance, Security, Library, Bylaws & Constitution and Activities Committees.
2008 Activity Highlights
Now, what would St. Patrick's Day be without traditional Irish tunes? The Carolina Highlands was fortunate enough to secure a performance by Fayetteville's very own Paddy & Bill. What a delight to hear the Irish heritage behind the music - and, the music was pretty great, too! We couldn't help but clap along, and we learned the words as we went!

It will be difficult to top the fun we had during the Sadie Hawkins Day celebration. Sadie, Marryin' Sam and all the residents of Dogpatch gathered at The Carolina Highlands for a look back at Li'l Abner's antics. From the chase, to the nuptuals and a wedding reception complete with sack lunches and a moon pie wedding cake, it was surely an afternoon to remember.
